2. Midterm reflective paper
Due: 18 October, 7pm.
In this assignment, you are asked to reflect on a recent issue of your choice. Pick a recent (for the sake of this assignment, not earlier than 2020) fact, news, controversy, documentary film, video, post, or anything you find relevant, and discuss it through the lens of what you learned in this course or through the lens of one of the topics of this course. It can be from whatever media (newspaper, news outlet, social media, etc.). Use all relevant readings in your answer, as well as lecture notes and tutorial discussions. Your ability to use relevant materials is highly evaluated. Using other pertinent readings or web sources is also important, but use sources you have actually read or at least skimmed through. Make absolutely sure to cite all sources that you use; the end of your paper should have a list of all the references you have cited.
You can add photos, screenshots, maps, or graphs if you like. For the sake of grading, remember to add a link or at least a visual clue to the topic you are discussing.

- Font: Times New Roman
- Font size: 12 points
- Line spacing: 1.5
- line Margins: 1 inch (2.54cm)
- Word count: min. 1000, max.1400
- Citation: the style. is up to you, as long as you apply it consistently (e.g., APA, ASA, Chicago)
