Assessment 4: Job search & online profile

Details of Task: Students will be asked to search and apply for a job within their field of study and create an online profile on LinkedIn.
Assessment requirements:
You must include the following sections in your assignment:
1. A title page which includes the title of the assessment, name and due date.
2. A copy of the chosen job (copy and paste the advertised job and the link to the position). This is a requirement of the assessment. In addition, a brief justification of your reasons for selecting this vacancy (maximum 100 words).
3. A cover letter applying for the chosen job (maximum one page).
4. An updated resume (maximum two pages).
5. Interview preparation
● Using Microsoft Copilot, generate five questions that could be asked in the interview for the specific job you have chosen. Include screenshots of the prompts you have entered in Copilot and its responses in an appendix. Explain how you structured your prompts and how you refined Copilot’s responses to arrive at the final five questions.
● Prepare responses for the five questions. Justify using support from relevant literature, your rationale for how you would answer these questions. In other words, do NOT merely answer these questions, but explain how you would go about planning a response to these questions in an interview. Use Copilot to refine your answers. You will need to include screenshots of your prompts and Copilot’s responses in an appendix. Explain how you structured your prompts and how you refined Copilot’s responses to arrive at your final answers to the interview questions (maximum 200 words per question; 1000 words in total).
6. The link to your updated LinkedIn profile.

Other requirements:
● You are encouraged to use Copilot to generate and/or refine the cover letter and resume. Note that the contents of your cover letter and resume must be real. Hence, it is important for you to feed Copilot your own information. Please do not provide Copilot with your personal information (e.g. your address, phone number, email address). You must include the screenshots of the prompts and Copilot’s responses in an appendix. Further information on how to do this will be discussed in tutorials.
● A minimum of 5 relevant references are to be used (section 5).
● Use APA 7 reference style. throughout the report and reference list.
● Use Times New Roman or Arial 12-point font (you can decide what line spacing to use).
● All these parts for the assignment must be presented in one file (Word file only), using page breaks to delineate the different sections plus the references and appendices. Apart from the copy of the job (copy and paste), all other sections must be written in Word format, and you must NOT use resume templates.
● Please ensure that you check your grammar and spelling in your assessment before submission.
● Please check Moodle for the rubric and other relevant information.
● The final assessment must include the following sections (each section MUST start on a new page):
o Title page
o Screen shot of the WHOLE job, with link and justification
o Cover letter
o Resume
o Interview questions and answers and hyperlink to your LinkedIn profile
o References
o Appendices
